The Ministry of Education has officially released the 2025 National Co-Curricular Activities Calendar, detailing various sporting and cultural events for educational institutions across the country. The calendar is directed to Regional Directors of Education, County Directors of Education, Sub-County Directors of Education, Vice Chancellors of universities, and Principals of Teachers Training Colleges and TVET institutions.

Term 1 Activities

Secondary Schools Sports (Under 18)

  • Sports: Rugby 15s, Athletics, Basketball 5x5, Hockey, Handball, Cross Country, Swimming
  • Location: Coast Region, Mombasa
  • Dates:
    • Clinic: 5th-7th April
    • Arrival: 6th April
    • Opening Ceremony: 7th April at Shanzu TTC
    • Action Days: 8th-12th April
    • Closing Date: 12th April at Shanzu TTC
    • Departure: 13th April

Secondary Special Schools Sports

  • Sports: Athletics
  • Details: Same schedule and location as Secondary Schools Sports.

Primary Schools (Under 12)

  • Sports: Athletics, Kids Athletics, Gymnastics, Cross Country
  • Location: Coast Region, Mombasa
  • Dates:
    • Clinic: 5th-6th April
    • Arrival: 6th April
    • Opening Ceremony: 7th April at Shanzu TTC
    • Action Days: 8th-11th April
    • Closing Date: 11th April at NYS Grounds, Likoni
    • Departure: 12th April

Primary Special Schools Athletics

  • Sports: Athletics
  • Details: Same schedule as Primary Schools.

Junior Schools (Under 15)

National Drama and Film Festival

  • Venue: Afraha High School
